And so ends the last full week of July. I know these things because taped to my computer monitor at the office is a Julian Date calendar and I Sharpie it every day with an X to mark the days off. I'm pretty happy about July nearing the end because it'll also be time to move to the right hand side of the monitor which contains the month where I go home. Any little mental advantage I can find...I shall take it! Oh yea, did I mention it? I passed my halfway point a few days back. Hmmm....I wonder how that slipped my mind. :-)
Today was a miserably slow day...much of what I needed to get done was done before lunch and I essentially stayed in the office to wait on all 3 of my girls to wake up so I could call them. Once that was done (most excellent, I must say!), I headed on out of there. Back in my room, I began researching some classical music that I wanted to download to my iPhone. With the help of some friends, I'm currently downloading Brahm's German Requiem. Those songs are MUCH larger than the typical download, that's for sure. It's moving at a snail's pace but it is moving. After doing some research earlier, I hit the road for a perimeter run around the base. Pretty great run tonight. It was breezy but I had the glasses on. I should have worn the neck gaiter, though, to keep the dust from getting inside me. Next time...
Once I got back, I ate some dinner that I grabbed before my run and popped some popcorn. That's really about it. Oh yea..the classic "Great Balls of Fire" is on the MGM Channel right now...classic! I'd watch it but sleep is more important. Tomorrow, I'm working 5 hours and calling it a day. My priority? A mid-afternoon nap...and perhaps a haircut. Time to fall asleep to some Brahms.... ;-)
Goodnight, everyone.
