Day 188
Passed Mile 91 today...that was nice. Ordered a pair of Brooks Pure Grit trail shoes for those wet and muddy trails that are waiting for me...should be back in Kansas by the time I get there. Spoke to some Navy folks here in Afghanistan about my relief: that guy better be ready to rock and roll when he gets here because we'll be lucky if we have 48 hours to turn over by the time he gets here. Like I said before...I'm leaving on schedule, dude! Stop sitting at combat training and get over here! The rest of the day? Quick chats with Dorothy, Tin Man and Scarecrow...always great. Turns out, Tin Man is going turkey hunting with Dorothy's dad. Hmmm.... I'm looking forward to HER version of that story tomorrow! Other than that, same 'ol Groundhog Day like every other day. Not a bad day, not a wonderful day, but another day which is all that matters. Time for the weekend...I hope to spend some more time at the Afghan bazaar this weekend for one last look before I start to PACK MY BAGS! Zing!
