Day 136

Another day, another dollar, and another step towards HOME. It was another very busy day but I did manage to slip away for an extended lunch and grabbed some Green Beans Coffee and my favorite Iced Espresso Chai Latte. I hung out for about an hour and did my best to beat my iPad at Scrabble. Sometimes I beat it and often it destroys me. Still some me-time to de-compress after a crazy morning. The rest of the day stayed just as busy and mid-afternoon came quick. Once 6pm rolled around, I headed on out, caught the base shuttle, and headed on back to my room. I quickly got changed and headed out for a nice and relaxing perimeter run of 8 miles around the base. I caught two F-16s taking off right over my head, too. I had F-15s fly directly over me before but not F-16s. The F-16s are loud but not anything like the F-15s...perhaps because they only have one engine. Regardless, awesome to stand there and let them fly right over me, afterburners blazing. Afterwards, some e-mails, TV and relaxing and that's about it. Not much else to talk about today! Day 136...goodbye. Don't need you anymore!
